This GFCI plug is the newer model of our original G1215PM2. It will automatically conduct a self-test (auto-monitor) every 5 seconds to ensure continuous protection against electrocution, exceeding the UL standard of 3-hour self-test frequency.
When the leakage current or ground-neutral fault reaches 4mA~6mA, this GFCI plug can break the circuit within 0.025 seconds (25ms). Designed to withstand 20KV, 10KA voltage surge, it far exceeds the UL943 requirement of 6KV, 10KA. It can operate safely between -31°F to 150.8°F (-35°C to 66°C).
The GFCI features surge protection and lightning protection, withstanding a 6-kilovolt test. It has undergone 6000+ factory tests, twice the UL standard. Strictly tested to or exceeding UL943 requirements, it is UL Listed for safety.
For 2-prong or 3-prong power devices, choose the corresponding GFCI plug. Automatic reset models restore power automatically after an initial plug-in or interruption, suitable for applications like pressure washers and pool pumps. Manual reset models require the user to press the reset button, recommended for dangerous power tools.
GFCI plugs integrate the GFCI and plug, while in-line GFCIs have a separate, smaller plug, better for use with waterproof boxes outdoors.
To test, plug the GFCI into an outlet, ensure the green light is on, press the TEST button to verify the light turns off, then press RESET to confirm the light turns back on. If the GFCI keeps tripping, there may be an electrical leakage issue requiring professional assistance.
