Regarding our Portable GFCI Plug, this is the newer model of our original G1215PM2. This GFCI outlet automatically conducts a self-test (auto-monitor) every 5 seconds, exceeding the UL standards of 3-hour self-test frequency, to ensure continuous protection against electrocution.
When the leakage current in the circuit or load equipment, or the ground neutral fault, reaches 4mA~6mA, this GFCI plug can break the circuit automatically within 0.025 Seconds (25ms). Designed to withstand 20KV, 10KA voltage surge (exceeding the UL943 requirement of 6KV, 10KA), the GFCI plug can operate normally in temperatures from -31°F to 150.8°F (-35°C to 66°C).
The GFCI features surge protection and lightning protection, withstanding a 6-kilovolt test. It has undergone 6000+ factory tests, twice the testing times of the UL standard. Strictly tested to or exceeding UL943 requirements, this UL-listed GFCI plug is suitable for a wide range of applications, including electric pressure washers, above-ground pool pumps, and portable spas.
When choosing a Portable GFCI Plug from ELEGRP, consider whether your power device has a 2-prong 2-wire or 3-prong 3-wire plug. Also, decide whether you need an automatic or manual reset model. Automatic GFCI plugs restore power automatically after an initial plug-in or power interruption, suitable for applications where automatic restoration does not pose a safety risk. Manual GFCI plugs require the user to press the reset button, recommended for dangerous power tools or lawn equipment.
Installation is straightforward, involving removing insulation, inserting wires, and tightening screws. A rubber seal ensures water resistance. To test the GFCI plug's functionality, follow the steps of plugging it into an outlet, pressing the TEST button, and then the RESET button.
