Dual Load Motion Sensor Switch for Occupancy & Vacancy Modes

The TOPGREENER TDOS5-JD Motion Sensor Switch is a dual load sensor switch that can control two fixtures simultaneously. This is ideal for controlling a light and fan, but the device can also be used in other dual load applications. An easy replacement for any indoor wall switch, this sensor can automate a light and fan simultaneously based on the motion detected in a room.

The programming controls are located under the face cover of the device, and include a sensor range dial, a time delay dial, and a switch that changes between modes. This motion sensor switch features 3 modes: Dual Occupancy (OCCD), Single Occupancy (OCCS), and Dual Vacancy (VACD). In the default, OCCD mode, both connected loads will be automatically turned ON when you enter a room and automatically turned OFF when the room is vacant. OCCS mode operates similarly, but it only applies the feature to the primary load. Alternatively, VACD mode requires both loads to be turned ON manually, but they will shut OFF automatically after the room is vacant for a preselected amount of time. This time delay can be easily adjusted from 15 seconds up to 30 minutes. Both loads can also be turned ON/OFF manually with the press buttons on the face of the switch.

The device has a max detection range of 40 ft in front and up to 20 ft on each side. Detection range can be set to 30%, 65%, or 100% of the maximum range. The PIR sensor has a 180° field of view and is best for spaces up to 1200 sq ft. For best results, the sensor should be installed between 4-5 ft high and away from obstructions such as furniture or hanging decorations.

The sensor switch will also help to conserve energy and lower power bills by ensuring the light or fan is never left on by mistake. This motion-sensing wall switch is ideal for rooms that you enter with your hands full, such as an entryway, closet, laundry room, garage, kitchen, or bathroom. This product is UL listed, Title 20 & 24 compliant.

The Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor detects motion with a 180° field of view, with a max distance of 40ft in front of the sensor and 20ft on either side. The advanced PIR reduces false triggers from unwanted movements. The device includes a walk-through feature, which turns the lights off after 2 ½ minutes if motion is not detected again within 30 seconds after the original trigger.

The 3 modes - Occupancy sensor mode (OCCS), dual occupancy (OCCD), and vacancy sensor mode (VACD) - allow you to customize the sensor according to your needs. The adjustable time delay options include 15 seconds (Test), 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes, and you can change the mode using the OCC/VAC switch located under the face of the device.

The device is white in color, residential/commercial grade, with a 1200 square feet max coverage area and a 180-degree field of view. It does not require a neutral wire but does require a ground wire. It operates at 120/277VAC@60Hz, with a rating of 800W incandescent/halogen, 150W LED/CFL, and 1/4HP motor. The operating temperature range is 32-131ºF, and it is compliant with Title 20 & Title 24. The device is single-pole only, with dimensions of 2.5" W x 4.5" H x 2.5" D, and is UL listed.
